Shaykh Abdullah Alam was born and raised in New York and completed the memorization of the Quran at Darul Uloom New York. In 2014, he enrolled in the ‘Ālimiyyah (Master’s in Islamic Studies) program at the same institution, where he also studied the seven qira’āt (canonical readings). After graduating and completing the rest of the ten qira’āt privately with Mufti Muajul Islam Chowdhury, he pursued specialization (PhD equivalent) in the field of iftā (legal opinion) under Mufti Manzoor Ahmed and Mufti Mahdi Alam (may Allah preserve them).

Shaykh Abdullah Alam is currently studying psychology and Middle Eastern studies at Columbia University.
